Websites To Consider
Writers Beware is a website with the latest information on literary schemes, scams, and pitfalls and the most current information on what writers can do to protect themselves.
Informational Research Sites
This is an internet encyclopedia on mythology, folklore, and religion. It deals with classic mythology as well as Native American and other cultures. It is easy to search and find exactly what you are looking for.
Thesaurus is a great tool that helps you find synonyms for a word that's being overused in your story.
One Look is basically a thesaurus, but here you can put a phrase or concept into the search bar, and the computer will return a word defined by that phrase/concept. It's very helpful when you can't think of the right word you are looking for, but you know what that word means.
Improve Your Grammar With Apps
Grammarly is an online grammar checking, spell checking, and plagiarism detection platform worth spending your money on.
Pro Writing Aid is similar to Grammarly, as it does much of the same things. This tool may be preferable to some writers, but like everything else, I suggest that you do your research before purchasing anything for yourself.
Book Title Generators
Fantasy Name Generator meets all your fantasy needs. I often use this whenever I need help naming characters or creating a fantasy world.
Reedsy generates Romance, Fantasy, Mystery, Crime, or Sci-Fi titles.
Quasi-historical names that are generated using patterns derived from real names of a particular region and period but are otherwise fictional.
